8. Great American Bash 2006

After two historically-awful Great American Bash events in 2004 and 2005, WWE finally hit a line-drive double with the 2006 edition: not great, but certainly not awful. This would be the event where three performers (Bobby Lashley, Super Crazy, and Great Khali) were pulled from the show with 'elevated liver enzymes', which hints at something slightly unseemly.

Even then, the show succeeded on the weight of three quality championship bouts, most notably King Booker's triumph over Rey Mysterio to capture the World Heavyweight title. Crazy was replaced by Matt Hardy in a match with Gregory Helms, and the long-time Carolina comrades pieced together their expected magic.

The ill-fated Punjabi Prison match took place on this show as well, but we can just pretend that never happened.
