10 Greatest WWE Tag Teams Of The Past 10 Years

1. The New Day

Things could have been so different for The New Day had Vince McMahon and WWE's writing team not allowed Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E to put their own stamp on The New Day gimmick. As pedestrian babyfaces going nowhere in early-2015, New Day needed a personality injection.

Woods and company were only too willing to save things by dressing in increasingly more bizarre outfits and cutting pop-culture heavy promos. Suddenly, the boring blue of before was replaced with shock pinks and gold, but it wasn't until New Day introduced gimmicks like the 'unicorn horns' and 'Booty-O' cereal that things started to pick up for them.

After becoming far too entertaining for fans to boo, The New Day went on to become the longest reigning Tag-Team Champions in history by holding the titles for 483 days. Throughout, audiences showed no signs that they were tiring of the bombastic group, which is remarkable given their outlandish sexual innuendos, overbearing promos and often cheap tactics to retain the titles.
