10 Harsh Truths Vince McMahon Needs To Understand About WWE Network
7. Lack Of Availability Outside Of US Has Hurt
There was a period of time when WWE used to brand itself as the "worldwide leader in sports entertainment" as they should have because nobody else in wrestling (or sports entertainment) can touch them. They're the top dog and likely always will be. However, when it comes to WWE Network the "worldwide leader" is leaving a lot of fans in the dark. When WWE goes on and on about the Network during Raw, there's about 40% of their audience that is outside of the US that is thinking "stop talking about it" because they can't watch it. It makes people want to change the channel. There are definitely some fans in the UK, Canada, Australia and elsewhere that have found a workaround so they can get WWE Network (just do a Google search for it), but the average consumer isn't going to think that way. Fans in other countries feel left out. A recent report noted that WWE Network may be available in the UK around SummerSlam time in August. If true, that's great for the UK although it doesn't answer questions for those of us in other countries either. The longer they make people in other countries wait, the more agitated those people will be.
