10 Harsh Truths Vince McMahon Needs To Understand About WWE Network

6. Losing The PPV Industry Could Be Very Costly

Wwe Direct Tv UFC President Dana White once called McMahon the "King of PPVs" because of how successful Vince was at building up WWE PPVs over the years. They started in the mid 1980s, set the template for other companies to follow and it was a money maker for WWE. In the past couple of months, major PPV providers in the United States like DirecTV and Dish Network have completely dropped WWE as an option for wrestling fans to order the show. Ordering off those networks could cost anywhere from $45 to $55 for a PPV, but it was something a lot of fans were used to doing. They were WWE's business partners for decades and now they are gone. There's a lot of risk in launching the WWE Network. We all know that. One of the biggest mistakes may have been the way that WWE lost their biggest PPV business partners. In the long run it may work out, but for right now there's no way WWE can be happy about losing PPV providers they had been with for so many years.
