10 Heartbreaking WWE Moments That Made You Cry

1. The Streak Ends

The Undertaker going 21-0 at WrestleMania will never be forgotten.

It's a run that wasn't planned, yet still became one of the most important parts of the Show of Shows every year after it was first acknowledged at WrestleMania X8. It was going to have to end eventually, but how it happened was just the worst.

Brock Lesnar was tasked with being the first person to get the 1-2-3 on the Deadman at 'Mania. He went on to become WWE's final boss for almost a decade, so the decision was justified in that respect.

What made it a heartbreaking moment is the match itself. 'Taker got a concussion early on, so he couldn't perform as well as normal. Add in the outrageous run time for the contest and fans were just waiting for it to end; nobody thought Lesnar would come out on top so it was a dead atmosphere.

Then it happened.

'Taker didn't kick out from a third F5 and the Streak was over.

The noise from the crowd afterwards wasn't cheers or boos; people gasped and then yelled to the person next to them that the match couldn't possibly have ended. Everybody waited and then 21-1 showed on screens around the stadium. At WrestleMania XXX, Lesnar had done the impossible.

The most heartbreaking part of this was when the Deadman rose to his feet, concussed and unable to take in the moment. A standing ovation lead to tears in the crowd; something beautiful had just ended right before their eyes.

When I'm not trying my hardest to visit all 50 U.S. states, I'm listening to music from the 80s, watching TV from the 90s, and reminiscing about growing up in the 00s. I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia so WWE premium live events are on Sunday afternoons for me; the absolute dream.
