Calhoun did influence UK star Giant Haystacks to assume that working surname and make a splash himself. Rather unbelievably, Martin Ruane (the Brit in question) weighed even more than the guy who inspired him. Giant Haystacks was 685lbs at his heaviest, which is...well, that's absolutely massive.

He was really tall too (Giant's billed height was 6ft 11 inches), so even moving around the ring was a chore to start with. The man's boom period came as part of a tag-team alongside then-heel Big Daddy in Joint Promotions. Both became major TV stars in the UK before splitting and feuding against one another.

Haystacks even worked briefly in WCW as Loch Ness, but the stint was unremarkable and only memorable because he was part of the wacky Hulk Hogan-chasing Dungeon Of Doom. Generally, Giant's health was failing him by the time WCW came calling, and he'd pass away in 1998 aged 52.

Haystacks is considered a UK wrestling icon to this day.
