When WWE's King of Mystery and resident comic book superfan is scheduled for a show, you're pretty much guaranteed a less-than-mysterious custom attire referencing the latest pen-and-ink pop culture sensation.

For his short squash at the massive ham hands of Brock Lesnar, Mysterio wasn't - in spite of visual evidence in its favour - a play on the original, evil Doink the Clown. Rather, he was riffing on Joaquin Phoenix's eponymous Joker from the 2019 film of the same name.

It's the yellow slacks that give it away - otherwise, the red blazer, green tuft of hair and white greasepaint mask bears all the hallmarks of the mallet-wielding Matt Borne.
