5. Adam Cole Pokes Fun At Bobby Fish's Age

In a recent storyline development, Adam Cole, seeking a rematch opposite Hangman Page, challenged him to a trios match with that second shot in sight.

Overlapping with the customary friction within the ranks of the Elite and its various offshoots, Cole kept the identity of his partners a secret - but heavily implied that he had chosen the Young Bucks.

Cole explained to Page that he could pick "any two goons" that he wanted. Cole meanwhile had "two very specific young men in mind".

Now, of course, he was talking about the Young Bucks. He made this yet more clear in a backstage segment alongside the Bucks and ReDRagon, in which he said that his chosen partners really knew how to "throw a party". Then, the Bucks declined, stemming from the events of the go-home Rampage ahead of Full Gear 2021, and the fear or respect they had developed of or for Page.

This left Cole to scramble, and pretend that he was alluding to ReDRagon the whole time. They bought it, which added a layer to that first tease: Bobby Fish at 45 years old is hardly a "young" man, and his automatic presumption that Cole meant him was enough to raise a wry grin at least.
