He was always incredibly entertaining whether as the goofy comedy heel, the plucky babyface or the Ultimate Opportunist, but its always jarring when it comes up that hes a former eleven time World Champion. When you consider the risks hes taken over the course of his career, and the quality of the matches, you cant say he doesnt deserve it. Edge made his name in hellacious TLC matches where he teamed with Christian to take on The Dudley Boys and The Hardy Boyz. It was in the second TLC match at WrestleMania X-Seven where Edge would risk it all and one move would have major consequences for the rest of his career. During the match, Jeff Hardy ends up dangling from the tag team championsips above the middle of the ring. Edge scales a massive ladder and after psyching himself up a bit, jumps from the ladder and Spears Jeff Hardy, falling around fifteen feet, landing on his knees and whipping his neck back. As awe-inspiring as this spot is, it was the start of a career filled with neck injuries for Edge that would eventually cause him to retire ten years later.
