10 Highest-Rated AEW Dynamite Episodes So Far
4. 25 August 2021 (0.48)
On lists such as this, the ten-point ranking isn't suggesting one episode is better than the other. It's merely a fact-based ranking.
Writing this home expertly is Dynamite's broadcast from 25 August 2021. On this list, it features at number four, having gained a 0.48 rating - but if this was a ranking of the programme's greatest broadcasts, it would be at the bottom of the pile. It was erroneous, given the events that had predated it on the prior Friday's Rampage.
CM Punk!
This was only the second appearance on a pure televised wrestling product for CM Punk in seven years, the future two-time AEW World Champion having returned to the industry during Rampage's First Dance special. The company hadn't yet adapted to his abilities. He produced a standard promo ahead of his All Out contest vs. Darby Allin, but the fact of this being just his second appearance in seven years sparked a viewership increase.
It's not exactly going to be caused by the multiple multi-man tags, is it? Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, and Darby Allin vs. the Wingmen, and Gunn Club vs. the Factory were both matches ripped out of a Dark broadcast, edited to feature the Dynamite assets, and slapped onto the broadcast.
Tony Khan had zero ideas for this show other than anything CM Punk-related - and it showed.
