10 Hilarious Times WWE Stars Parodied Other Wrestlers

1. D-Generation X Impersonating The Nation Of Domination

Quite simply, even with Triple H at the helm of the WWE, D-Generation X could never pull a stunt like this in today's world. It's with good reason too; the painted on blackface that the group sport to mock their adversaries in the Nation of Domination really blurred the lines between what's acceptable on TV and what isn't, over the course of this 1998 promo. The two factions were deep in a rivalry that lit up the Attitude Era just as much as Undertaker/Kane and Stone Cold/McMahon did. But up until this point, it had just been the usual gang warfare between two groups that couldn't stand each other; Triple H's rowdy collective of politically incorrect pranksters warring with The Rock's brutal, aggressive, and overly-serious bunch. With a supporting cast of the likes of D'Lo Brown, The Godfather, Owen Hart, Mark Henry, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Chyna, and X-Pac, these bitter rivals were full of gifted entertainers and performers who knew how to captivate the audience. Enter DX (or as I like to call them for this particular night, The Nation of D-Generation). Every member portrayed a comical take on a different part of The Nation - Triple H was 'The Crock', Road Dogg played 'B'Lo Brown' (perfecting D'Lo's violent head shaking), Billy Gunn was 'The Gunnfather', X-Pac was 'Mizark Henry' (complete with 'pecs that go all the way round to his back'), and even wrestling fan Jason Sensation as a self-depreciating Owen Hart, complete with prosthetic nose and nasal voice. Sensation managed to form a whole career in impersonations thanks to his work around this time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB81hqH94CQ It really was a hugely offensive but incredibly entertaining mickey-take of one of the most hated stables around. As previously mentioned, they would thankfully never get away with it today, as it did happen to cross the line quite a bit, but in context of the Attitude Era, it was commonplace. Some might argue that stereotyping and character assassination are still rife within WWE, but those 5 or 6 minutes of DX mocking The Nation have probably inspired plenty of other hilarious (and uncomfortable) imitations since then. What's your favourite impersonation? Are there any that we missed? Let us know in the comment section below.
