From a horrendous human to a wonderful one.

Bless Big E for confessing to this creative awfulness via social media years ago. According to the New Day man, he lobbied to become a wrestler called "Mel Mann" when he was signed by WWE in 2009. You're reading the play on words correctly - E wanted to become a wrestling postal worker.

1995 called, and it wants that gimmick back. A grappling postie would've been in line with characters like Duke 'Dumpster' Droese (a garbage man), TL Hopper (a plumber with sh*t stains all over him), or Isaac Yankem (an evil dentist with horrible teeth). Actually, had Big E agreed never to deliver when promised, he could've called himself 'Hermes/Evri' instead. Ahem.

Predictably, WWE shook their head and "Mel Mann" was consigned to the dustbin of history. Or, should that be the postal chute? Right, enough rubbish puns. E wanted to be a wrestling postman, but it wasn't going to happen. That was a blessing in disguise.
