8. Mickie James

Mickie James is one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time, is a Hall of Fame-worthy talent, and is someone who can still bring so much to a wrestling promotion.

That WWE chose to release Mickie earlier this month sadly came as no real surprise, given how poorly the company had used the five-time WWE Women's Champion since she returned to the company in late 2016. For James, though, she is likely well aware of the positives that accompany this release.

With 22 years pro experience under her belt, with plentiful success both in and out of WWE, Mickie will be a great 'get' for whichever company she ultimately ends up committing to once her WWE non-compete clause expires.

Right now, Mickie James would be a great addition to the AEW women's division, being someone who could be a realistic top talent in the division while also helping along some of the younger, less experienced ladies who are All Elite.

Likewise, James would surely get a hero's welcome should she opt to return to an IMPACT Wrestling where she firmly helped put the Knockouts on the map. Then, well then there's the highly intriguing prospect of Mickie joining her husband Nick Aldis in the National Wrestling Alliance, where matches against the likes of Serena Deeb, Thunder Rosa, Taryn Terrell, Kamille and former rival Melina lay waiting.
