9. Matt Sydal

WWE fans may remember Sydal portraying Evan Bourne, a high-flying show reel of a performer that the company were briefly extremely hot on, before he seemed to vanish into thin air. A one-time WWE Tag-Team Champion with Kofi Kingston - the duo went under the auspicious name, 'Air Boom' - Sydal did retain some popularity with fans. Unfortunately involved in a car accident, Matt Sydal wasn't seen much in WWE following 2012, taking a lengthy sabbatical in order to heal up injuries before returning to the road. That return never happened for the grappler, and he was instead released last year. It's unlikely WWE would be interested in pushing Evan Bourne as a solo performer again, but if we're looking at ideal partners for Alex Shelley, the guy has to be in contention. Not only does he know the WWE scene well, some fans would even remember him. Given that he and Shelley are fairly similar performers, they'd quickly have great chemistry, and could be an excellent addition to the tag roster.
