10 HUGE AEW Full Gear 2020 Predictions You Need To Know

7. Women's World Title: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Nyla Rose

Just three minutes of screentime was dedicated to building Nyla Rose vs. Hikaru Shida prior to the go-home Dynamite, with 2:30 of that going down on Dark. That's not enough. Yes, the match has been engineered through the rankings system, solidifying that particular mechanism, but the optics of spending such little time developing the top women's programme on a pay-per-view card are horrible - and provide further ammo to the division's critics.

Shida and Rose have existing personal issues from their Double Or Nothing match, which 'The Full Metal Champion' took. That No DQ bout was one of the best things on a strong pay-per-view, so it's fair to assume that they'll deliver another big hitter at Full Gear. Shida is the most rounded in-ring performer in the division, Rose peaks incredibly highly, and they both know how to structure a match. It'll likely deliver.

Strapping 'The Native Beast' is a compelling argument, particularly with Vickie Guerrero by her side. A second Rose reign could help breath much-needed personality into the division. It wouldn't be a total shock if she took the belt back, though Britt Baker increasingly feels like the person this scene should now be built around, and babyface->heel makes for a smoother transition.

Winner: Hikaru Shida
