3. Kenny Omega Vs. Jon Moxley - Lights Out Match

There's much narrative potential in either result. This is the mark of a well-built programme.

If Jon Moxley wins, it doesn't matter in canon for his future World Championship prospects. If Jon Moxley wins, it doesn't matter in canon, but it means everything for Kenny Omega's crumbling psyche. This is an internecine conflict, and so of course it will erupt with mutually-assured destruction in the form of ultra-violence as unsettling as it is dramatic. There's a poetic quality to the feud Omega perhaps could have put over more in promos. It's this exact theme at which he excels.

If Moxley wins, he proves nothing but does get himself over. Omega is a scalp, divisive character arc and all. In a neat twist, Moxley may end up losing himself if he loses here, leading to a run not unlike that of the G1 Climax, in which he proves himself more than his perception. In any event, if Moxley is to break typecasting to break through, expect something harrowing - a Dear Jon to violence.

Moxley will take the W here. It's his match, and a match Omega will look like a blood-drenched warrior just by surviving. Omega can't yet become the best version of himself, and operate in the same world as Chris Jericho.

That match is too soon, and you can only book this version of Jericho now.

PREDICTION: Jon Moxley in a harrowing double-juice festival of sickness.
