10 HUGE AEW Revolution 2023 Predictions You Need To Know

9. Chris Jericho Vs. Ricky Starks

CM Punk
Fite/AEW

The simple prediction for this was - and still is - the best one.

Ricky Starks needs to go over Chris Jericho just as he did on January 4th, but because he went over then, why they are still feuding? And why has Starks wrestled eight times since then with all eight matches being against members of the Jericho Appreciation Society?

Because it's Chris Jericho, that's why.

The story has been told backwards, with 'Absolute' getting his big win back when Jericho was on a "losing streak" that only amounted to two defeats. The other defeat was to Action Andretti, who will probably turn on Starks as per the stipulation that the JAS can't interfere.

Jericho has developed a reputation of spotting what's hot, latching onto it, gobbling up the heat and carrying on with characters worse off than when he found them, MJF, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston and now Starks are examples of this, and Bryan Danielson probably would have been added to the list had he not proven himself impervious to literally every single one of bad booking's ills.

Starks' biggest test isn't whether he can win this match, but if he can win the ones after this sorry story has concluded. And if he can keep the audience he'd worked hard to build before 'The Wizard' cast his spell.

Winner - Chris Jericho
