10 Huge AEW Revolution Predictions You Need To Know

5. World Title: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Jon Moxley

This one has been in the works for months.

Jon Moxley emerged as Chris Jericho's top contender back in December, with the programme taking all kinds of twists and turns since then. The duo spent weeks teasing Mox joining The Inner Circle before the former Dean Ambrose inevitably swerved the Painmaker Posse. Jericho has since taken Moxley's eye, Moxley has taken Santana's eye, they've brawled all across the country, spilt each others blood, and effectively planted their flags in each others' chests. Now, finally, we're getting the payoff.

It's tough to tell how this match will fare compared to the other big bouts. MJF vs. Cody will be straight out of 'The American Nightmate's' territorial playbook, prioritising classic emotional storytelling. The Tag Team Title match, meanwhile, will feature state-of-the-art work from four of the world's most exhilarating performers. This means Moxley and Jericho are probably going to have to brawl. A risky move and their old WWE matches didn't exactly deliver, but this is a different world, a different promotion, and a great chance for both to banish those memories.

While Moxley is a hot babyface at the moment, Jericho is still the guy. He's the biggest draw, the most over wrestler, and the right star-maker at the right position on the card. From that standpoint, switching the belt makes little sense right now.

Winner: Chris Jericho.
