10 HUGE AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2023 Predictions You Need To Know

6. Toni Storm (c) Vs. Willow Nightingale

Kazuchika Okada Bryan Danielson
AEW

All Elite Wrestling's failure to set something in stone with Stardom or TJPW over the last two years has been disappointing, but in presenting one of the best women's matches the company has, they've at very least aimed to make the the division feel integral to the branding and vice versa.

NJPW Strong Women's Champion Willow Nightingale is an AEW wrestler, but her ongoing run against Toni Storm and Ruby Soho has yielded several awesome moments of physicality that should be repeated and improved upon in the battle for Storm's gold here. It's unlikely she'll leave as a double Champion, but the match will at least be another addition to a stellar collection of contests she's built up over the last few years.

There had been rumours that Mercedes Moné was set to make her AEW bow here before she was injured in the match that crowd Nightingale as Champion, and perhaps don't rule out an appearance. Staring down the winner, loser and the crowd can be done with a bad ankle, and would comfortably be one of the biggest headlines coming out of the show should it occur.

Winner - Toni Storm
