10 HUGE NJPW Dominion 6.9 2019 Predictions You Need To Know

3. Hey There, Hiromu...

Chris Jericho IWGP Heavyweight Champion
NJPW

Absent since breaking his neck while wrestling Dragon Lee at July 2018's G1 Special in San Francisco, Hiromu Takahashi has spent the past few months dropping hints on his return.

The latest was a massive tease. Captioned with "everyone needs healing," this brief video closed on the date 5 June - or, the final night of Best of the Super Juniors 26. Many western fans took this as a surefire sign that NJPW's most popular Junior Heavyweight would return that night, but it turned out to be nothing more than an advertisement for his new stuffed cat gimmick, Naoru, stocks of which had sold out before most fans could even hit the building.

Perhaps predicting Takahashi to return at Dominion is daft. His comeback has seemingly been "imminent" for months, and the only people who know how well he has healed are those close to him. Regardless, the BOSJ finals ruse makes the timing perfect, particularly if Lee retains against Will Ospreay. It'd give Hiromu the easiest "in" in the world, and the duo can resume their years-long rivalry with a big title fight later down the line.
