10 HUGE NJPW Dominion 6.9 2019 Predictions You Need To Know

4. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: Dragon Lee (c) Vs. Will Ospreay

Chris Jericho IWGP Heavyweight Champion

"Best" is a subjective term, but arguing that Will Ospreay's name doesn't belong in any discussion or debate on the world's finest professional wrestlers is becoming an increasingly untenable position.

The English's Best of the Super Juniors rampage was spectacular. His 10-match run was one of the most outstanding NJPW will ever see, with Ospreay bringing out the best in everyone, from unfancied indie freelancer DOUKI to Shingo Takagi, his opponent in the finals. If you're still writing this guy off as a vanilla flippydoo, you aren't watching. He's a fully-formed, three-dimensional in-ring storyteller who sells as well as he dives, and while his flaws aren't non-existent, that he's this good at 26 years old is remarkable.

Slaying Takagi to win BOSJ and earn this title shot was an awesome feat. Against Dragon Lee, 'The Aerial Assassin' will once again have the opportunity to blow Dave Meltzer's star rating system into the stratosphere, but while many signs point towards Ospreay capping his BOSJ run with an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title win, it feels like NJPW are saving the end of Lee's reign for someone else (more on that in a moment).

Besides, wouldn't it be grand to see Will leave this division entirely? The G1 Climax beckons.

Winner: Dragon Lee.
