10 HUGE Predictions For WWE Crown Jewel 2021

2. Hogan's Run

It was at Crown Jewel 2018 when Hulk Hogan snuck back into life as a WWE mainstay thanks to the Saudi Arabian Sports Authority's insistence on megastars of yesteryear featuring on the card. One year later and deeply embedded in the mix, he was the figurehead of a team captained by Roman Reigns in one of the biggest matches on the show.

With the pandemic's full impact hopefully in the rear view (or, as wrestling has deemed it, completed), it seems likely that WWE will be investing in red and yellow pyro for one of the evening's biggest surprises.

Booed vociferously by the socially distanced Florida crowd at WrestleMania 37, Hogan can expect the opposite in Riyadh based on how well he's gone down there previously. In WWE's content super-service era, this makes good b-roll for some propaganda documentary footage and subsequently carries more weight than about 90% of this actual card. Not announcing him advance simply reduces some aggro beforehand too.
