10 HUGE Predictions For WWE Crown Jewel 2021

1. Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Brock Lesnar

The best angle in WWE has peaked at the best time on a show that - regardless of quality - will be rightfully viewed as one of the worst of the year.

Not ideal.

It's hard to talk about this particular version of Roman Reigns Vs Brock Lesnar without again returning to some of the realities of what Crown Jewel is. And not just from an ethical perspective. Typically, the vast crowds haven't made the sort of noise one might expect, nor have the shows themselves been booked with the care (!) or attention (!!) a typical WWE pay-per-view commands (!!!).

Lesnar has humbled Ricochet, Braun Strowman and Cain Velasquez on these cards seemingly just for the sake of it, and the infamous Fiend/Goldberg Universal Championship switch remains proof that any permanent character at any level can be squashed per the whims of Vince McMahon. This looked like it was going the same way before the Paul Heyman storyline was smartly deployed, but that wrinkle will surely serve as a way to extend the programme rather than pay it off.

This is fr from the first match between the two, but it's the first of them in this incarnation. A Survivor Series rematch saves the Reigns/Big E singles outing for another day, and Heyman not showing his hand here drags that drama out longer too.

Winner (by count-out): Brock Lesnar
