10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2022
1. Brian Cage
Brian Cage may not be with All Elite Wrestling for much longer.
A hot, positive debut at Double or Nothing 2020 saw the former IMPACT World Champion go from strength to strength under the guidance of Taz, becoming the first FTW Champion in two decades, challenging for the AEW World and TNT Championships, and wrestling Adam Page, Sting, and Darby Allin in pay-per-view bangers.
Where is he now, though? Seemingly a casualty of being outspoken on social media.
There's no way Cage comes back from this in AEW. The once-promising big guy is now but a dot in the world of CM Punks, Bryan Danielsons, Adam Coles, and HOOKs.
You don't need this writer to tell you how much Vince McMahon would pay to get Cage under contract. Cage is an absolute unit. This is a guy who can catch mid-flight opponents in a delayed vertical suplex position without readjusting them. The timing and strength required for this execution makes The Machine literally that.
Tony Khan has already proven himself as a promoter who'll find something for 99.9% of his signed talent. If not, they'll be let go. Brian Cage won't be All Elite this time next year.
Expect him to hold WWE gold, though.
