10 Huge Signings WWE Must Make In 2022

9. James Storm

If for nothing else but to pluck Robert Roode - or Bobby Roode, who knows and, more importantly, who cares - out of total obscurity.

When you hear the name James Storm, he sounds like a guy to have had a somewhat tenured time in WWE. What he is instead, though, is someone they brought in just before NXT exploded, used twice, and then never used again. Those wins over Adam Rose and Danny Burch are now but a statistic.

2022 has to be the year The Cowboy finally signs with WWE. He's presumably teetering towards the end of his career now, having reached a respectable one thousand matches in IMPACT Wrestling alone early last year. He's a legend of the Anthem-helmed promotion; it's time for a run at the top of the pecking order.

He's a perfect fit for NXT 2.0, which is in dire need of some substance if reports of Tommaso Ciampa and Pete Dunne being called up are to be believed. Aside from his character fitting nicely with the former black-and-gold brand's current New Generation aesthetic of everyone has a character, WWE is absolutely the promotion who would sign James Storm - The Tennessee Cowboy - to combat the uber-popular Adam Page of AEW.

Cowboy Sh*t it would not be; they'd do it, though.
