10 HUGE WWE Backlash 2020 Predictions You Need To Know

8. Apollo Crews (c) Vs. Andrade

Greatest Wrestling Match Ever
WWE.com

Eesh.

Apollo Crews has grafted away for a chance to hold a singles title, this much he's told and (sort of) shown us during several ponderous years on the main roster. Andrade, his challenger and the former champion, has good matches almost all the time in spite of his place in a stable that can't ever f*cking win and a manager in Zelina Vega that again is feeling like she's outgrown him.

The point here is neither Champion nor Challenger feel like talking points, even in their own match. What will Vega do? How might Angel Garza get involved? Will Kevin Owens show up and Teddy Long the whole thing? Who knows, but it sounds more interesting than the straight up rematch doesn't it?

WWE once had the gaul to interrupt a Daniel Bryan/Sheamus pre-show match with a Battle Royal won by The Great Khali. If only they were so irresponsible as to do the same here. Here's to Crews retaining, if only so he can move on to something that's actually his own.
