"A good little man can't beat a good big man" according to Big Cass despite losing to Daniel Bryan at the first attempt before even spouting such a meaningless platitude.

Cass' sub-par delivery of such inane material hasn't created hope for his future, though his problematic ex-partner Enzo Amore somehow getting bookings means there's still hope yet - because there's absolutely f*cking none left in WWE. A return from injury against one of the most reliable all-rounders in company history should have finally opened a window of opportunity for Cass, and yet all he's done is slam it back in his smaller opponent's face.

Bryan looks even more damaged by the angle than he did just returning as a run-of-the-mill roster member. Being in WWE is the disease infecting the company - it's why Brock Lesnar, Kenny Omega and even the injured Dean Ambrose remain more in-demand talents than anybody the company actually books on the reg. The sooner this feud is over, the sooner Bryan has a chance to actually get over again. Which means he'll lose here to level a series people are already wishing had been cancelled.
