It would be an incredible waste of a potentially sensational moment if at least one performer didn't make the quick trip in a taxi between the New York and Brooklyn venues for an historic twofer.

In 2001, WWE memorably experimented with the simulcast when Shane McMahon turned up live on WCW Nitro as Vince McMahon readied himself to put a bullet in the Atlanta brand. Less harkened upon but arguably more enjoyable though was the night the company sent Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kurt Angle to WWF New York midway through a Raw show emanating from Madison Square Garden several months later.

'The Money' was living it up at the company's nightspot on Times Square, and used himself as bait to lure the Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist to the venue in order to facilitate an attack on his father by Booker T. The places were close enough to fit the skits in within two hours, and the company now have a third to facilitate the slightly longer journey over the Manhattan bridge and straight up 6th Avenue.

The company cherish moments more than matches in this era of over-the-top and re-watching on the WWE Network, and most of the modern-day performers seem to buy into it too. Somebody's got to be the one to make history.
