Chris Jericho’s unfathomably busy start to 2018 continues as he prepares to make his WWE return just weeks removed from one of the most significant matches of his career in a completely different organisation.

There, he was the ‘Alpha’, a contrasting play on legitimate ‘Best In The World’ candidate and NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12 opponent Kenny Omega, but will this latest incarnation of ‘Y2J’ make it to either New York or Brooklyn?

In a word, no. However, an appearance used up for nothing but nostalgia does seem incredibly wasteful. Jericho himself revealed that Vince McMahon actively encouraged his Far East sojourn as a way to enhance his aura for a future company return, and that comeback is already here.

The first Undisputed Champion will undoubtedly tell the world that Raw is STILL Jericho, but confirmation that he has every intention to finally win a Royal Rumble will be his biggest headline emerging from the celebratory edition of the show.
