Yeah should sort of go without saying, this, but, at the time of writing, there's a very real possibility that absolutely everybody is going to miss WrestleMania this year. Doesn't matter if you're Brock Lesnar, it doesn't matter if you're some harmless fan sat in row Triple Z with a replica belt and your bag of goodies from Axxess - if authorities intervene, there's going to be nothing you can do.

At the time of writing, the decision over whether WrestleMania will be allowed to go ahead is still up in the air. WWE remains committed to pushing on regardless, and this week's meeting resulted in no conclusion.

"Pandemics sometimes last a week, right?"

Several upcoming events - some larger than this, many smaller - have already been nixed in the state for fears over the Coronavirus, and it looks likely that 'Mania could follow suit.

Unlike dance festivals and sporting events though, WWE's live programming is episodic and narrative-driven, so it's not a simple case of simply doing the show later in the year. WWE will either need to film the thing in an empty arena, or co-opt some other, safer, live event into filling the hole. The impending Madison Square Garden house show might be their last best shot.
