10 HUGE WWE SummerSlam 2020 Predictions You Need To Know

4. Drew McIntyre (c) Vs. Randy Orton

All about kicking people in the head, this, and how nobody will ever see it coming. This despite absolutely everybody predicting that Shawn Michaels would take one in his no-longer-chrome dome on the go-home show, and Ric Flair was due one by the end of his time with Randy Orton, and that's how Big Show would be written out and-

But to be less flippant about it, the time and place is at least right for this match even if it's probably best to temper expectations. Nobody else was really on 'The Viper's level following his leveller with Edge at Backlash, and McIntyre's confident path as Champion since WrestleMania had to lead him here sooner rather than later.

It's Orton's fault that the match itself doesn't sparkle to speculate on. The man's been slowing the pace for two decades now - we're the stupid ones to assume he won't here. Just as he will when they have a rematch at Payback seven days later. Drew McIntyre retains, but 'The Apex Predator escapes a pinfall (if not the Claymore itself) for at least another week.

This sort of sentiment should end with "as unlikely as that seems on the second biggest show of the year", but this isn't 1996, so let's not pretend they wouldn't rely on a finish like this even if there wasn't a pay-per-view the next week.

Winner - Drew McIntyre
