Can an angrier Damian Priest fix Shinsuke Nakamura's woeful pay-per-view quality record?

'The King Of Strong Style' has been neither of either since reclaiming the Intercontinental Championship earlier this year, to the point where he's even made his regular devotees consider just how much he brought to a celebrated tenure alongside Sami Zayn two years ago.

He's been overlooked for months on the blue brand, which is doubly regrettable considering the fact he's carrying the show's secondary strap. But an otherwise-meaningless match could have huge ramifications if one of the year's most consistent performers has another one of his great nights.

Priest has done more with much much less opposite him in 2021, but this match may get overwhelmed by a thickening plot between him and former Retribution heavy T-Bar. The two have been beating the f*ck out of each other of late, with WWE showing uncharacteristic patience in telling the story thus far. 'The Archer Of Infamy' needed a mean streak, and if nothing else, this angle's found it.

Priest can take what'll probably be a much-needed point for Raw on the night, but it's hard to imagine it helping him ahead of a sweet spot in next year's Royal Rumble.

Winner - Damian Priest (2-2)
