10 Hyped Wrestling Rematches That Sucked

5. The Rock Vs. John Cena

Where: WWE WrestleMania 29

Why It Sucked: 'Twice In A Lifetime'.

That joke will haunt WWE forever, and rightly so. Between WrestleMania XXVII and XXVIII, the promotion made a massive deal out of John Cena vs. The Rock happening only once. Anyone who slept on this wouldn't get another chance to see such a huge main event. Oh no, wait, they would.

XXVIII's match was special because it was Rocky's first singles showing since losing to Goldberg at Backlash 2003. 'Mania 29's match didn't have that unique atmosphere going in - it was also rather obvious that Cena was going to get his win back in 2013. 50/50 booking at its worst, then.

The Cena vs. Rock feud had also been built on resentment from both sides. Come 29's conclusion, an injured Dwayne (that injury didn't help his workrate on the night) was lifting Johnny boy's arm, dropping his head and sort of acknowledging that Cena was the better man. Something about it didn't feel right at all.

This was a massive disappointment.
