10 Iconic Wrestling Themes You Never Knew Were Recycled
8. Linda McMahon Is Mrs. WrestleMania
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p964a3tq-JYNowadays, each WrestleMania is given its own distinct theme, because omnichannel media experiences and HASHTAGS MAGGLE, but between WrestleManias X and XIV, there was only one theme. It originally appeared on 1993's "The WrestleMania Album", and carried the incredibly creative title of . . . "WrestleMania." It was a peppy, Simon Cowell-produced number that sounded at least ten years out of date in 1995. If you can say one nice thing about the song, it's that it is definitely nondescript and generic enough to serve as the theme to everything from the capering of Dink the Clown to Steve Austin bleeding buckets. WrestleMania XV brought with it its own unique theme -- "Rage" -- and the all-purpose WrestleMania theme went into hibernation.
Eventually, it would be repurposed as the personal theme tune of perennial senate hopeful and alleged non-android, Linda McMahon. The song proved a suitable anthem for Linda, who remains perhaps the most boring human on Earth, despite being married to a deranged billionaire with cartoon muscles and giving birth to a real-life amazon princess and an indestructible rubber man. The song was eventually used for its original purpose on the WrestleMania Anthology DVD set, but to many fans it will always bring to mind fond memories of groin kicks that land like butterflies.
