Former real-life bodyguard and current TNA bodyguard Brodus Clay spent several years as a funky spacefaring dinosaur man. During that time, his highly choreographed dance to the ring was accompanied by a James Brown-lite tune called "Somebody Call My Mama." This song became so popular (?) that WrestleMania XXVIII was forced to cut short the highly anticipated Daniel Bryan/Sheamus match to make room for a live performance by the Brodus Clay's Mama Dancers. When Brodus was eventually turned heel, he would lose the rights to the song in a feud with Xavier Woods, but Woods is actually the THIRD guy to use the song.

The original owner of the song was latter-day WCW legend Ernest "The Cat" Miller. It's pretty understandable that WWE felt they could get away with this. The Cat had a tragically short WWE run, but his biggest moment in the company was based on his theme song. At the 2004 Royal Rumble, Miller's music hit while everyone in the ring was incapacitated. He ran desperately to the ring to take advantage of his good fortune. Not by throwing his opponents out, mind, but by furiously dancing until Randy Orton could muster the strength to eliminate him.
