10 Images Showcasing The Precise Moments When WWE Careers Ended

1. Muhammad Hassan Given A Last Ride By The Undertaker

Muhammad Hassan was supposed to be WWE's hottest new heel of 2005. His gimmick was that of an Arab American performer that didn't like how his people were treated in post-9/11 America. Hassan repeatedly talked about he felt like a prisoner in his own country and how he was unfairly punished for the actions of others. He was getting massive heel heat, but then it degenerated and WWE began receiving some really unwanted negative attention. Most of it was due to an angle that was aired shortly after the 7/7 London bombings where some terrorist-like men tried to garrotte the Deadman with piano wire. They had gone too far, resulting in a flood of complaints, negative press and sponsor fury. The character had to be dropped, so during their match at the Great American Bash, Undertaker destroyed Hassan as well as his allies in a way that made it clear that the character was on the way out. To hammer the point home, 'Taker made a hole in the stage, picked up Hassan and gave him a Last Ride Powerbomb to the concrete below. Hassan lay there motionless as the announcers speculated on his future. It was the last time Hassan appeared on WWE television and he retired from the business soon after.
