Following his debut at Badd Blood, Kane seemed to be on a collision course with his brother. However, the Undertaker initially refused to do battle with Bearers new monster. With his own flesh and blood dodging him, Kane shifted his focus to other Federation superstars. The Big Red Monster attacked not only wrestlers, but also took the opportunity to display his supernatural powers -- setting a stagehand on fire. At 1998s Royal Rumble, Kane again cost his brother a championship victory against Shawn Michaels. This time, following the contest, Kane locked the Undertaker inside a casket before setting it on fire. In the weeks following the horrific attack, Taker finally accepted Kanes challenge and the two were set to face off at WrestleMania XIV. Following the Undertakers victory at Mania, the two continued their feud for months. A new and frightening match was announced for the Unforgiven PPV. Kane challenged the Undertaker to an Inferno match -- a contest which saw fire surround the ring and the loser being set ablaze. Unfortunately for Kane, he was again unable to defeat his brother and after a few more months, began to put his focus elsewhere.
