10 Most Improved WWE Wrestlers Of 2014

9. Aiden English & Simon Gotch (The Vaudevillains)

Tag team wrestling is an important part of the business and WWE is doing what they can to bring it back to prominence. There have been times in the last few years where WWE had a deep tag division. At other times they seem thin. At NXT, they are doing what they can to develop teams. One of the better teams in NXT right now are the Vaudevillains. Aiden English was a singles wrestler in WWE that really wasn't getting anywhere on his own, so they paired him up with Simon Gotch. They're two old school type of wrestlers with looks that are out of a mid 1900s movie and whose mannerisms are old school as well. What's really cool about the team is that they aren't just over the top characters. They have had a number of really good tag team matches too. We see so many tag teams that don't connect with an audience, but these two know how to make it happen. English has a theatre background before coming to WWE while Gotch is in his early 30s and is a seasoned vet. Sometimes teams get put together and they don't work. These guys definitely do. They are less than a week away from challenging for the WWE Tag Team Titles at the next NXT Takeover event next week, so they could win tag team gold soon. Hopefully they are on the main WWE roster in 2015 although if that happens it would probably be later in the year. They're a very entertaining duo with a bright future as a team.
