10 Impulse Reactions Following WWE Fastlane 2017

'Raw Talk' on the WWE Network is rarely essential viewing, and this post-Fastlane edition was passing largely without incident until colour analyst Jerry 'The King' Lawler attempted to turn the clock back twenty years or so following a celebratory interview with WWE Women's Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks.

The two were joyous following their victories, and upon leaving the show, Renee remarked how important it was in wrestling to have a friend that will keep an eye out for you, as Banks had ostensibly done for Bayley.

Appearing at first to subtly enhance a possible upcoming story between the former Horsewomen, Lawler espoused suspicion at their true friendship.

However, before 'The King' and Renee could go further into the plot emerging between the two, he steamrolled on, demolishing the angle with an ugly 'all women despise each other' sentiment. Short of a shrieking request to see their 'puppies', he couldn't have come across worse.

To her credit, Renee was fabulous in cutting off the small-minded and old-fashioned viewpoint before 'The King' could marginalise two of the best wrestlers in the organisation any further.

Reading the tone, Lawler sheepishly spun it off to how people treat each other in the wrestling business.
