Despite a pinfall victory over Brock Lesnar, a spell of dominance in the Royal Rumble, and a Universal Title win at Fastlane, Goldberg has spent less than six competitive minutes in the ring since his remarkable November return.

Atoning for their sins during his diabolical maiden run with the organisation, WWE have exhibited fabulous patience with Big Bill's booking, which has afforded them the opportunity to still send him out there for the brief and impactful stints he's really, really good at.

The Brock Lesnar/Goldberg WrestleMania rematch was already set to be huge, but with Raw's top title now at stake in the battle, the duo may have to do something they've as yet still not done - work an entertaining normal-length match.

Presumably keen to exorcise the demons of their WrestleMania 20 disaster, Brock and Bill will probably both have to leave their comfort zones to create a thrilling finale to their rivalry.

Thankfully for Goldberg, that wasn't on the agenda at Fastlane, with Owens providing perfect foil for his Spear and Jackhammer combo after some legendary stalling before the referee even rang the bell.

Keeping the match-time intentionally short without compromising fan experience, 'KO' was exceptional in maintaining the contempt of the audience as he repeatedly ducked 'Da Man'.
