10 Incredible Death Defying WWE Leaps

3. Jeff Hardy Jumps Onto Randy Orton - January 14, 2008 Raw

WWE.comWWE.comThe Randy Orton/Jeff Hardy feud in early 2008 was pretty awesome. It's underrated in the sense that people don't talk about it too much, but they did some phenomenal stuff leading up to their Royal Rumble match that year. Hardy was the guy that so close to being a WWE Champion, so he feuded with Orton (the champ at the time) to prove he was worthy. They built this up by having a brief "match" for Hardy's IC Title. Orton ended up hitting him with a low blow to get disqualified and that led to a brawl. They went over to the staging area where Hardy gave Orton a back body drop onto a landing by the stage that was made up of wood and likely some padding underneath. It sounded hard even though it probably wasn't. Hardy climbed up the staging area. He looked like he was ready to jump from about 10-15 feet, but then he went up even higher to the next level. It was likely 25-30 feet legitimately. Hardy signaled to the fans and then he hit an incredible Swanton Bomb onto Orton. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSsyNMXxpeY It was an amazing sight live. On replays it was even more spectacular. They ended that night's Raw with both guys getting taken away on stretchers as a way to build up their WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble, which Orton won.
