10 Incredible Non-Wrestling Outfits Worn By WWE Superstars
9. Stone Cold Steve Austin's Hunting Gear
When it comes to ring gear, less was usually more for 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. In most cases, a simple set of black trunks was all Austin needed to make an impression. Fans flocked to 'Stone Cold's' anti-hero banner and revelled in his ability to assault his boss, Vince McMahon, and live to tell the tale. Plus, boasting a nickname like 'The Texas Rattlesnake' sure didn't hurt.
Remarkably, despite Austin's runaway success, he refused to sit still. Like a Ford truck, the best never rest.
In April 2000, following neck surgery and a nine-month rehabilitation, 'Stone Cold' returned in the leadup to WWE's Backlash pay-per-view, but he wasn't there to wrestle - not yet at least. He was there to hunt the McMahon-Helmsley Regime and its allies.
Donning a camouflage jacket, shirt, and hat, Austin looked as though he'd just walked out of a hunting expedition. After what we can only assume was a slow day at the duck blind, Austin looked understandably miffed. Fans were just glad he left his gun in the woods.
Rebellious, yet practical, Austin's hunting gear was a welcome departure from his usual ring attire. It was a great look that served as the perfect accompaniment to 'Stone Cold' destroying D-Generation X's personal bus, the DX Express, on that night's SmackDown. Oh, hell yeah!
