As The Rockers, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty made for an exciting, high-flying tag team, although they never officially tasted WWE gold. But like all good tag teams, they weren't long for this world. Eventually the time came to bid The Rockers goodbye, and when they did, it was truly a moment for the ages.

On an early 1992 episode of The Barber Shop, after a period of rising tension and miscommunication, Jannetty offered to bury the hatchet with Michaels and regroup. Instead, he was kicked in the face and thrown through a plate glass window. How rude!

Yet one look at Michaels' garb should've clued Jannetty into how his night was going to end. Clad in all-black, Michaels ominous outfit was the perfect gear for striking out on his own. Forget a wrestling match, Michaels looked kitted out for a street fight.

Seizing his moment, the future 'Heartbreak Kid' was clearly ready for a grander stage, and his appearance stood in contrast to the bright colours typical of The Rockers. What a badass.

While Michaels' look was the star of the show, Jannetty gets an honourable mention for his excellent selling, which gave Michaels nuclear heat. Plus, wearing red, the traditional colour of martyrdom, was a nice touch by Jannetty. What is this, Mary, Queen of Scots?
