1. Raven Vs. Rhyno - Backlash 2001
The two former ECW Champions were never going to become huge stars in the WWF (although the consensus is that they really missed the boat on Rhyno) but they could be a valuable addition to the midcard, specifically the stale hardcore scene. After a bumpy start in the WWF, Raven found his niche as a hardcore wrestler and newcomer Rhyno presented an interesting matchup. As usual, the two men beat each other up with road signs, trash cans and a shopping cart, of all things. But this wasn't just mindless weapon shots for the sake of it: there was a reason and psychology behind them. And that's what made this match so great. They actually tried to work a match instead of just senselessly beating each other up for ten minutes. Well, that and the fact that Rhyno gored a shopping cart, trapping himself inside of it. It was a stroke of pure genius.
