The Kliq were - if you speak to almost everybody in the locker room that wasn't a part of it - the absolute worst.

They terrorised the locker room, sabotaged multiple pushes, and wormed their way into Vince McMahon's ear and imposed their vision of creative. The top two guys, Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels, struggled badly on top, but it didn't matter. They deemed themselves the very best, and in 1996, Nash and Scott Hall had a hell of a point.

Two years earlier, in the best cult WWE match ever, all four core members shared the ring in an absolutely incredible tag team outing promoted on a show - Action Zone - that is such a short-lived, barely remembered C-tier production that WWE forgot to upload it to the Network.

The match is premised on the genius idea to subvert the face-in-peril role: Razor plays Ricky Morton, which fuels the incredulous thrill of the Kid's dynamic hot tag, the build to which is awesome. Almost a proto-Young Bucks match with its brain-melting twists - Shawn inadvertently smashing Diesel with Sweet Chin Music is timed to perfection - the execution of every move is out of this world.

Every performer is driven to a world-class standard through sheer "Follow that motherf*cker" spite in a match that embodied, and transcended, the "leave everything in the ring" cliché.
