10 Incredibly Dumb Things That Happen In WWE Every Year

3. Unwarranted WrestleMania Appearances By Celebrities

Outside celebrities have been associated with WrestleMania ever since its inception, starting with Billy Martin, Cyndi Lauper, Mr. T, Muhammad Ali, Liberace, and The Rockettes. Aside from a couple of WrestleManias - when Vince McMahon felt the superstars were the celebrities already - every time the spring event neared, celebrities have started popping up.

Some of these appearances by megastars helped make certain moments more memorable, such as when Mike Tyson turned on Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV (also right after Pete Rose encountered Kane, by the way) and counted the pinfall for Stone Cold Steve Austin, who went head-to-head with the legendary boxer leading up to the flagship event.

However, many other celebrity appearances left little to no impact on the world of wrestling after their WrestleMania appearance, such as Akebono when he sumo wrestled Big Show at 'Mania 21. Or worse, they blemished the 'Biggest Event of the Year,' as seen when Kim Kardashian wondered what in the hell she got herself into at WrestleMania XXIV.

WrestleMania didn't need every celebrity WWE got its mittens on. And it still doesn't. As WrestleMania is already a monster of an attraction, WWE could do wonders for the show by only incorporating celebrities when it makes sense to the overall production.
