10 Independent Stars WWE Should Sign To NXT

5. Rhett Titus

Rhett Titus Another 27 year old independent wrestling standout, Rhett Titus has been going strong on the independent wrestling scene for years on a consistent basis. He was trained at the Ring of Honor Wrestling Academy by Austin Aries and later by Daniel Bryan. He ascended the ranks of the competitive Ring of Honor roster over the years and competed with some of the best wrestling talent on the planet. In 2009, Rhett and Kenny King formed "The All-Night Express" in an alliance with Austin Aries against the new regime of "Executive Producer" Jim Cornette. Rhett and Kenny quickly gained steam and ascended to the top of the tag team division. This gave Rhett years of tag team experience that will surely help him in his future. He's worked every part of the card in Ring of Honor, even headlining "Death Before Dishonor IX" in New York City with Kenny King against The Briscoes in a Ladder War. While he's been able to perfect his "Addicted To Love" persona, there have been rumors recently that he's been wrestling under a mask as "The Romantic Touch." I cannot confirm or deny that Rhett Titus is indeed under the mask. But if he is, this is just another way for Rhett to develop the skills that will eventually land him a spot in NXT. Over the past year, Rhett has been invited to WWE events on the east coast to work as an extra in a few different roles. He's been showing the persistence to get his foot in the door and will do whatever it takes to make it to the dance.
