At the end of ECW's first One Night Stand, a monumental showdown took place involving the ECW Originals and the WWE superstars that were in attendance. One pairing in the mass brawl took things to a whole new level. Once the chaos had dispersed, The Blue Meanie's face was all bloodied up, thanks to John Bradshaw Layfield. In an interview with Arda Ocal, The Blue Meanie said that a JBL punch opened up a series of staples he had in his head. Meanie went on to say "we started throwing live rounds at each other." The reason for this is unclear, neither man knew each other prior to the clash so had no reason to fight for real. Maybe they were just taking it to the extreme for the sake of the pay per view. JBL told WWE.com: "The incident with Meanie had nothing to do with any old heat, I don't even know the guy, I couldn't care less about the fat little kid."
