10 Infamous WWE Elimination Chamber Moments
3. Bryan Doesn't Win
The time between Royal Rumble 2014 and WrestleMania XXX is fascinating.
WWE began this period believing that Batista would main event WrestleMania against Randy Orton; a match that appealed to people living in the year 2005 and no one else.
Fans didn't want Batista to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. They wanted somebody else. Somebody with a bit more... beard.
WWE had the chance to run with this as early as Elimination Chamber, when Daniel Bryan was part of the chamber match for Orton's WWE title.
Bryan made it to the final two, facing off against his old foe one-on-one. However, thanks to interference from Kane, Orton pinned Bryan and kept the belt.
WWE thought that this was the end of Bryan's unlikely time at the top and plans for a 'Mania match with Sheamus seemed to be set in stone. However, fans were so livid that their favourite had been booted from the main event that they mounted a protest, hijacking shows and demanding that Bryan be added to the WrestleMania title match.
Eventually, they got their wish, making Elimination Chamber 2014 part of the greatest unintentional 'Mania build of all time.
