2. Triple H Buries Goldberg

In light of recent events in Saudi Arabia, it seems a bit hypocritical to be talking about somebody killing Goldberg's momentum. But here we are.

SummerSlam 2003 hosted the second ever Chamber match and everybody thought that this was Bill's time. Triple H had a stranglehold on the World Heavyweight Championship that fans were desperate to see broken and Goldberg was hot as hell heading into this fight.

The former WCW star eliminated half the field on his own - including Chris Jericho with a now-legendary pod-break spot - and was left alone with a petrified Game.

However, Triple H then unleashed his most powerful weapon - his marriage to Stephanie McMahon! Oh, and a sledgehammer.

A single sledgie shot to the temple was enough to stop Goldberg. Triple H pinned him, handing him his first loss in WWE, and retained the title at the expense of one of the hottest acts in the company.

The title change took place the next month, but the irreparable damage had already been done.

Goldberg wasn't the only wrestler to suffer at Trips' hands during this time, but he was definitely one of the worst affected.
